You’ll be tucked into a cozy oasis as you recline on a full-length far infrared light therapy mat embedded with negative ion-producing gemstones. This holistic treatment is results-driven and always tailored to meet your needs of the day, generally including a double cleanse, enzyme exfoliation, steam treatment, luxurious toning and sculpting massage, a hydrating mask, and customized finishing products including SPF. You will also receive a detailed skin analysis, diagnosis, and home care consultation.

ROSY SKIN RITUAL FACIAL

Prioritizing vascular health, this facial is similar to the signature skin ritual, opting for soothing treatments such as cool steam, calming botanicals, and a combination of massage and lymphatic drainage techniques to help strengthen capillaries and reduce redness and irritation associated with erythema (situational blushing) hyperemia (constant flushing), and telangiectasias (capillary threading often referred to as spider veins) This treatment is recommended for sensitive, sensitized, couperose, or rosacea skin types.

With heavy sun and wind exposure here in the high desert, it’s common to see a lot of sensitive/sensitized/reactive skin types. I also see it becoming more and more prevalent as skin care manufacturers are including actives in every formula, leading to poor combinations, resulting in overstimulated and overtreated skin. This can appear as dull and congested skin or redness, broken capillaries, itching, swelling, and painful breakouts. We begin by gently exfoliating your scalp with a nutrient-dense hair pak with vitamins and phytonutrients proven to support hair and scalp health. Warmed herbal oils are gently poured over your hairline and massaged into your head, neck, décollete, and shoulders to relieve facial tension, increase skin elasticity, and clarify sensory organs. Blue LED light therapy and Argon High Frequency (a painless therapy utilizing low-level electricity to penetrate deep into the skin) both act by targeting the bacteria responsible for breakouts, minimizing the appearance of pores, calming irritation, painful swelling, inflammation, and increasing cellular turnover. LIFTED FACIAL MASSAGE

Massage is the one thing I would never skip during a facial! I may be biased, but I have found that therapeutic massage alone can achieve clear, exfoliated, smoothed, lifted, contoured, toned, nourished, and hydrated skin. With the right formulas, massage clears pore congestion and dramatically reduces the appearance of red/brown acne scarring and other hyperpigmentation issues. This facial begins with a good cleanse and lymphatic drainage to reduce inflammation, swelling, and puffiness. A rhythmic flow of stimulating and relaxing strokes are used to transport you to another plane while sculpting, toning, and lifting the deeper structure of your skin for a smooth and even texture. A generous amount of time is spent treating scalp, chest, neck and shoulders with deeper work to promote relaxation and proper alignment. You will be amazed by the immediate and dramatic results, leaving you looking and feeling bright, refreshed, and rejuvenated with a deep glow.

Optional buccal massage can be performed with a gloved hand inside the mouth to smooth nasolabial folds and expression lines around the mouth. Care is always taken for your utmost comfort. As a licensed massage therapist with an additional endorsement for intraoral massage, I am also able to perform optional deep release on the muscles of the jaw and TMJ which can help reduce jaw pain, tightness, and tension headaches.

SPICULE PEEL FACIAL

Spicules are tiny microscopic “needles” from the exoskeleton of marine sponges or certain types of coral. When massaged into the skin, they purify congested pores and create a micro-channeling effect, acting as a trans-epidermal delivery system. Once embedded into the skin, they promote a mild histamine reaction, bringing oxygen-rich red blood cells to your skin’s surface. Over the following days, these spicules will dissolve, releasing a polypharmacy of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients which help stimulate collagen, smooths texture, minimizes pores, brightens, and improves cellular health.

While still a relatively new treatment in the US, this Korean skincare method is reportedly as ancient as Cleopatra and her milk baths and offers a really unique alternative to chemical peels with instant and lasting results that have been touted as being on par with microneedling. While chemical peels and microneedling are tried and true methods, spicules offer similar benefits that do not rely on overly acidifying the stratum corneum to denature the proteins found in your skin cells. Because there are no harsh acids, it’s safe for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Results are cumulative and treatments are best done in a series of 4-6 and can be performed at light and medium depths, depending on your goals and downtime requirements.

• The light peel is recommended for your first treatment to prepare your skin for deeper peeling and to familiarize yourself with the (minimal) tingling sensation. This is a great add-on to most facial services. The light depth refreshes tired skin, increases cellular turnover, hydrates, brightens, and resurfaces with no actual peeling or shedding and minimal to no discomfort. You do not need to graduate to a higher depth to continue enjoying the benefits of this facial. In fact, the light peel is available for purchase as home care and can be used as your weekly exfoliation with instructions.

• The medium peel is spicy! You will feel stinging and tingling sensations as the peel is massaged into your skin for up to 5 minutes. The spicules will remain in your skin over the next 2-3 days and may produce a slight tingling sensation when touched. This peel has downtime! Mild tenderness, redness and swelling are normal for several days after treatment. Peeling is individual and may start on day 2 or up to day 4 and may last 3-5 days. If you are working through a series, each session can be done as early as 10 days after peeling has finished

• Both depths of this treatment are unsuitable for clients on Acutane or have used Acutane within 1 year. All retinoids must be discontinued 14 days prior to this service.

NANONEEDLE HYDRATION THERAPY + LED

Nanoneedling, contrary to its name, does not use any actual needles. It’s a pain-free, non-invasive skin treatment using silicone tipped, pyramid-shaped carbon microtubes, which create thousands of microscopic nanochannels. These micro injuries trigger the skin’s natural healing process, stimulating collagen production and allowing for greater penetration of customized skincare products. It’s often what I reach for when performing my own facial. This treatment offers an abundance of benefits including deep hydration and gentle exfoliation which can improve tone and texture, reduce the appearance of enlarged pores and expression lines, especially around the eyes and lips, and may reduce hyperpigmentation associated with acne scarring and environmental damage when used in combination with pigmentation inhibitors.

This treatment may cause mild redness and swelling immediately after the treatment, but otherwise has zero downtime . Retinoids should be avoided a few days prior to treatment. Contraindications include recent facial surgery, cosmetic procedures, and chemical peels. This facial does not include massage, however, additional massage time can be added to this session during booking from the add-on menu.

DEEP CLEANSE BACK FACIAL + MASSAGE

This clarifying treatment removes impurities with soothing enzymatic cleansers, gently exfoliates with fruit acids to clear congested pores, and includes a nutrient dense Moor Mud mask rich in phytonutrients that can help regulate sebum production, reduce inflammation, and increase cellular rejuvenation. Ample time is given for thorough extractions. To finish, we use ultra hydrating serums, hydrosols, and nourishing vitamin C creme that can all be customized to your unique goals.

A luxurious amount of time is spent massaging the deeper muscles of the whole back with special attention given to the neck and shoulders. Extend the massage to a full body (or focus) treatment by selecting extra massage time from the add-on menu during booking.
